About

BuzzyBakes

Buzzybakes has been serving the Triangle since 2015 from our 1950's vintage mobile food truck, Sweet Caroline.  We moved to our current location at the Boxyard in 2021. Every single treat that comes out of our bakery is made from scratch, using only the finest ingredients and without the use of any preservatives or artificial additives. We are a small batch bakery that caters to the RTP community as well as local schools, non profit organizations and private events.

Carrie Haub - Founder of BuzzyBakes

BuzzyBakes "origin story"

Carrie's passion for baking ignited when she and her husband relocated to Central Coast California, where she discovered the enchanting wine region and its bountiful produce. The local flavors and enticing aromas inspired her to embark on a culinary journey, infusing various regional wines into her confections. Through countless experiments on her friends and family, her creations blossomed into unique and delectable delights.

Before she knew it, Carrie found herself collaborating with esteemed local wineries such as Tolosa Vineyard and Edna Valley. Together, they crafted cupcakes that perfectly complemented the wineries' latest vintages, creating an extraordinary pairing experience for customers to indulge in.

After relocating to the East coast to be closer to her family, she wholeheartedly pursued her passion and established "BuzzyBakes" mobile bistro in 2015. The name "BuzzyBakes" embodies her unwavering excitement for crafting delectable and one-of-a-kind desserts by infusing them with wine and spirits. Additionally, her adoration for using locally sourced honey as a natural sweetener further adds to the distinctiveness of her creations.
